Rest in peace Doug Fake. A father of film music to so many of us who grew up with a passion for film soundtracks and became fanatical for owning the scores of their favourite film composers and favourite films and television music. Then your heart sunk and you realised that everything you wanted hadn’t been released and was unlikely to ever be. But along came Intrada Records and we were introduced to someone more passionate than us that was knowledgeable about all aspects of music and the business and was actually doing the hard work and spending his own money to release the music we could only dream of owning. On top of that each release was lovingly realised with beautifully produced score restorations and attention to detail we could only dream of.
Thank you Doug for your incredible contribution to my life. I don’t know what I would have done without your incredible art. And I am honoured to be in such great company to have the same affection for the music of Jerry Goldsmith. Thank you so much for the incredible attention you gave to his music.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Film music won’t be the same without you. Your legacy will live on forever.

Was shocked and saddened by the news! Back in late 80s when I was 20, Rio Conchos and The Wind and the Lion were first CDs I ever bought in my life. I think Islands in the Stream too. Best part, i didn't even have a CD player. Kept reading the booklets over and over and got enthralled for 1 or 2 years before finally affording a CD player. That's how I got to know Mr. Fake. Rest in peace.
