La-La
Land Records announce CD sets featuring Jerry Goldsmith scores written at 20th
Century Fox. Essentially reissues, although The Flim Flam Man has one
extra 50 second cue. The other scores are The Detective, Von Ryan's
Express and The Blue Max. Note in the case of The Detective

The
Don Is Dead - Soundtrack Premiere From Intrada!
Intrada
Records present a 70's Goldsmith premiere release! This rare crime drama from
1973 is one of the composer's more obscure assignments for a film that was
somewhat overshadowed by the Godfather movies at the time. Goldsmith
provides one of his trademark orchestral suspense scores; adding a smattering of
action, period synth embellishments and a warm love theme and vocal version with
lyrics
by Carol Goldsmith.
Intrada present the score in glorious stereo from the Universal vaults. A
generous running time with a handful of extras and requisite notes from liner
master Jeff Bond. Dramatic art rounds out the package.

Take Her, She's Mine - Soundtrack Premiere From Intrada!
Wow!
First time on soundtrack album for this rare and previously thought lost score.
An early Fox film score for Jerry Goldsmith and more importantly his first broad
movie comedy score. At times slightly whacky but ultimately a score of its time
for 60s Hollywood. Even more amazing the music is presented in stereo! The CD
also features a mono presentation as a bonus.

U.S. Marshals - Deluxe Edition From Varese!!!!
Much
sort after expansion of 1998 action thriller soundtrack from Varese Sarabande's
CD Club. The original release did feature a key number of the score's set pieces
but missed off some exciting and aggressive Goldsmith action to make the score a
much more satisfying listen. A mass of percussion and brass dominate with jagged
piano and customary synthesiser embellishments adding to the score's overall
power. Limited to 3000 Copies.

title theme with large orchestra dominating the majority of the score.
